ISF (Importer Security Filings) – CBP moves to penalty phase!
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Services has notified the public that starting today (July 9th, 2013) CBP will take the position to issue penalties to importers who fail to file, or fail to “timely” file their ISF (Importer Security Filing – AKA 10+2) submissions. ISF submissions are required on Ocean imports coming into the U.S.A. The Sequestration
After speaking with one of our area assistance port directors late Friday we were advised that locally the SEQUESTRATION would probably not be felt for a month or so and would mostly result in local personnel being furloughed for a day each week for a total of 2 week.
