Blaine FDA to Restrict Hours of Operation
The Blaine, WA station of the FDA will restrict its hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Merchandise to be examined must arrive by 3:00 p.m. The adjustment of operating hours is temporary, though no date has been provided for resumption of the regular hours. US CBP ANNOUNCES TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS FOR LAND PORTS OF ENTRY AND FERRY SERVICE BETWEEN THE US AND CANADA
On Friday 3/20/2020 the Secretary of Homeland Security announced the decision to restrict travel between the US and Canada at land ports of entry and ferry services to “essential travel” only. NOTICE OF CARGO LANE CLOSURE BEGINNING 3/2/2020
Advisory of Lane Closure at the Blaine Port of Entry Cargo Facility. A project to replace an existing primary inspection booth at the CBP Pacific Highway Cargo facility will begin on March 2, 2020, and continue through May 2020. Government Closure on December 24, 2019
On December 17, 2019, President Trump signed an Executive Order providing for the closing of Executive Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 as a federal holiday. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will operate as a holiday on December 24, 2019.
